Harriet has a degree in Spanish, Arabic and Middle Eastern Politics and a Master’s in Human Rights Policy and Practice. She has over seven years’ experience working in both the humanitarian and international development fields for a variety of organisations ranging from grassroots NGOs in Palestine, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency in Lebanon, to global private sector consultancies. The latter included working on projects related to civil society and governance in Syria and working with oil companies in East Africa to improve their CSR policies.

Harriet is an experienced evaluator and has also worked for the Independent Commission on Aid Impact; the watchdog scrutinising UK aid spending. In her spare time she enjoys attempting to turn her balcony into a vegetable garden, hiking, and hosting visitors to Lisbon.
