1 - Cuál es, en pocas palabras, el área de intervención de la Asociación de las Comunidades Autofinanciadas?
ACAF busca reforzar los lazos de solidaridad y facilitar el acceso a la “ciudadanía económica plena” de los grupos que apoya. En este momento, trabaja principalmente con grupos de migrantes, en Cataluña. Desde su formalización en 2006, la asociación ha apoyado la constitución de 22 grupos, lo que representa cerca de 500 socios, o 1750 beneficiarios, considerando los integrantes de cada hogar.
2 - De dónde surgió la idea de la intervención de ACAF?
Surgió de una iniciativa que fue desarrollada en América Latina, los Bankomunales, por un emprendedor social. Esta idea fue importada, del Sur al Norte, y ajustada al contexto específico de las sociedades europeas.
3 - Fue integrado, hace algunos años, como uno de los beneficiarios de la red Ashoka – conocida por valorizar y apoyar iniciativas innovadoras. Qué tiene de innovador su organización?
Los principios y en su metodología de intervención son innovadores, porque se promueve el empoderamiento del propio grupo – sin intervención externa (de ACAF u otros)-, por vía de la auto-financiación y del fortalecimiento de las redes sociales de apoyo. El protagonista es el socio.
4 - En qué momento de la organización se inscribió la relación con Stone Soup?
Después de tres años de existencia, la organización creció mucho. Necesitó pensar su estrategia de intervención de cara al futuro y reflexionar sobre como ha evolucionado su identidad a lo largo de estos años. Está, por así decirlo, en su momento de adolescencia.
5 - Para responder a qué problema o desafío específico?
La relación con Stone Soup se concretizó para apoyar este momento clave de transición de la organización. El objetivo era trabajar la sostenibilidad de la organización, por un lado, y sus perspectivas de expansión, por otro.
6 - Qué beneficios le trajo esta relación?
La reflexión. Que la organización se tome el tiempo para reflexionar, con alguien externo que lanza “chispas” para ayudar esta reflexión, clarificar los caminos posibles, y solucionar problemas.
7 - Por favor, díganos cuáles son los principales desafíos que enfrenta de cara al futuro?
Los dos mayores desafíos son los de cantidad, es decir la expansión en el número de grupos, tanto a nivel nacional como a nivel internacional, y de calidad, es decir, esforzarnos para mejorar continuamente el modelo que tenemos.
8 - Una palabra final: cuáles son, en su opinión, los factores claves de éxito de una organización del Tercer Sector?
Creo que es fundamental que las organizaciones trabajen el sistema de incentivos de todos los grupos con los cuales se relacionan (desde sus recursos humanos, las empresas e individuos asociados, el Estado, los usuarios, etc.). La organización tiene que garantizar, explícitamente, que todos salen ganando.
Otro aspecto fundamental es ir, de a poco, generando y consolidando una red de confianza alrededor de la organización.
